Fasting For Clarity

Dry Fast Day 2

When I'm facing a big decision, I fast to get clarity.

But so far, this dry fast is very different. Day 2.

Here’s my process:

Step 1, make time to quiet my mind and listen to the indwelling. I silence external noise so I can tune into my soul.

Step 2, ask myself tough questions to identify what I truly want and need. Not just what others expect of me.

Step 3, recognizing objective truths rather than getting stuck in subjective stories. Hunger to see a situation for the truth of what it really is.

Step 4, yield. Let go of my agenda and pray unceasingly for direction. Even if it mean staying up all night.

Step 5, pay hyper-attention to any insights, synchronicities or intuition that arise during the fast. Every occasion matters

Step 6, accept that others may misunderstand or judge me for following my inner wisdom. But I trust where it leads me.

Step 7, cut the dead weight by releasing people or situations which longer serve me. This frees me to wholeheartedly choose the path ahead.

Today I announced that I am parting ways with my wealth manager.

As a former professional athlete, I’ve all the stories of players going broke with bad investments. Unfortunately, this stigma has kept me from making decisions aligned with my values and belief in the future. Scarcity mindset has plagued me my entire life.

These stories will not define me anymore.
