Day 6 - You Shall Not Murder

Every line you utter can give life or destroy.

Death and life are in the hand of the tongue.

There are no empty words. My words, your words, every line you utter can give life or destroy.

Speaking one’s own truth to power has killed more souls than wars. Is this not the nature of cancel culture, where we are conditioned to denounce others for a fleeting feeling of superiority?

Out of your mouth you have the ability to build up or tear down. To motivate or discourage. To lift people higher or to drag them lower. If your tongue has this level of capacity, it makes sense to understand it better and that is what we will continue to do.

Our words are like seeds, planted deep within the soil of the heart, where they can either bear fruit or wither away. They are a reflection of our innermost thoughts and beliefs, a window into the soul that reveals the true nature of our character.

We have much work to do and some of us talk too much. But until then, every soul we have killed with our words, we will have to answer for on the day of judgment.

Reflection:

Our words are like seeds, scattered upon the wind, carried far and wide to land upon the fertile ground of another's heart. Words spoken in public, in private, the ones everyone hears, and the ones you think no one hears.

Where can I stop pointing the finger and speaking wickedness?

Practice:

24 Hours of Intentional Speaking.

Not a medical professional, my advice should not replace medical advice or treatment. Seek professional medical advice if you have specific health concerns, especially when planning to fast. Any fasting advice I provide is general and should be followed alongside personal health guidelines and consultation with a healthcare provider.
